My Book

Orphan 32

Nearly two decades long, the Vietnam War was one of history’s devastating battles. More bombs were dropped than both World Wars put together. Lives were destroyed and families torn apart.

In 1975, the last flight out of Vietnam rescued 57 war orphans before the Communists took over the south capital of Saigon. En route to Canada, Nguyen Ngoc Minh Thanh was aboard that flight. He was Orphan #32.

Thanh’s story began like many other Vietnamese orphans on Operation Babylift, but as he later discovered, his path had taken a much different direction from the rest.

Orphan 32 will take you on a remarkable journey of life, love, family and self-discovery.

Children's Book

Orphan 32 Goes Home Children's Book

Nguyen Ngoc Minh Thanh was born to two loving parents.  He had 2 older brothers.  The three brothers were all put into an orphanage for safe keeping while his parents went to serve in the Vietnam war.  At the end of the war, the parents came back to find out their baby Thanh was missing.  He was taken by soldiers by mistake and eventually evacuated during what was called Operation Babylift.

After that little Thanh’s life changed forever.  He ended up growing up in Canada.

30 years later, his life changed again.  Orphan 32 Goes Home tells the tale about an unbelievable journey of a child who was lost, but with a twist in his destiny, his future was changed forever. It will take its readers to an end they will never forget.

Each show will be posted to a dedicated YouTube channel and hosted on Cable 14 Now and Cable 14.

The Ambitious City aims to bring awareness of local businesses and economic development in the Hamilton region.

It will provide the opportunity to individuals who contribute to the community to share their products or service and explain how what they do goes to build the community.

This show is all about Hamiltonians and the great surge of innovation and inspiration that is moving our city to bigger and better things.  As we climb out of the era of steel and steel manufacturing as our mainstay, we are witnessing a shift to being sustained by different industries, such as education, health and entrepreneurship.  I don’t believe we will be losing our mills anytime soon, but as they are declining in production we are seeing the increase of other income producers that will take its place.

As the reputation of Hamilton ameliorates and is drawing more people to calling it home, we will see more minds from which to draw inspiration and move it forward across all sectors.
